IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • We just leased with CCR Land and Cattle Co., what happens now?
Contrary to popular belief we don't just drop animals off and head out for a few months. Our staff work to ensure that your land and our cattle are not only healthy but stay healthy. CCR offers various land improvement services as benefits for leasing with us.
  • What do I have to do as the landowner?
Absolutely nothing! The CCR will take care of every aspect of running livestock on your place. The only thing we ask from our land owning partners is that we have unrestricted access to our cows (this prevents a lot of problems).
  • How much can I earn from leasing my land to CCR
While there are a lot of factors that go into calculating rates, it all comes down the stocking rate that your land can offer. We offer competitive rates for your grass and will always work with the landowner to make sure you are getting the most money for you land.
  • Why should I choose CCR Land and Cattle Co.?
Wether you are someone looking to obtain or maintain your agricultural tax exemption, a cattle enthusiast, or simply looking to make some cash off of your land, CCR can customize our operation to fit your lifestyle. In this day and age it's difficult and risky starting a cattle operation of any size, with the CCR Land Leasing Incentive program, we take the risk and the stress out of the equation!
  • How can CCR's Wildlife Management Division benefit me?
In the state of Texas you can qualify for a "Wildlife Management Tax Exemption" which means that instead of having to participate in an agricultural practice to maintain your exemption, like running cattle, you can implement a Wildlife Management approach. CCR's Wildlife Management Division does all the heavy lifting, paperwork and practice implementation so that way you can sit back and enjoy the view!
  • What does wildlife management cost through your service?
It's all based on what we are doing to your property. Generally, our prices are based on a annual cost since Texas Parks and Wildlife requires annual management reports and plans. We look at each property on a case by case basis and determine what needs to be done. This is why we work so closely with the landowner to create a plan for the year as well as a calendar of events to help make the plan run smoothly.
  • How long does it take to see a difference on my piece property?
Every management technique out there does take some amount of time. When measuring wildlife management success, we look at all the practices together and how they developed over time. With CCR's Wildlife Management Division, we take care of every aspect of this process, that way you can enjoy your property.
  • What kind of species can I manage for?
It all depends on where you live! We want to make sure we are managing for species that are going to thrive in your area. It also depends on what your goals for the property are. For example, if you would like to use the property for recreational uses such as hunting, it would be most beneficial for CCR to manage for whitetail deer, turkey, and dove.
  • What if I don't want a Wildlife Tax Exemption?
Helping folks obtain or maintain those is just a part of what we do. We also provide a wide array of services to help you, as the landowner, increase wildlife yields for recreational activities such as hunting, fishing, bird-watching. We also can manage a property to create hardy native pastures to sustain your herds. Our goals at CCR is to create a healthy balance between you and your land.
  • If we sign up for your services, do we have to give up hunting?
Absolutely not!! Surprisingly enough, hunting is one of the best management tools out there when it is done with purpose. If your goals for the property are to create better recreational hunting oppurtunities, a well implemented wildlife management plan will result in better quality animals and an abundance of them.
